The Altamaha Heritage Old River Road Tour was held in October, 2010 and began at the Heritage Center.  A grand day was had by all participants.  The event included a Confederate encampment along the river, a BBQ dinner prepared and served by the Friends of Towns Bluff, music provided by Bluegrass Limited, and of course, the tour along the Altamaha River.  Plans are being made for the 2012 version of the Old River Road Tour to be held on Saturday, October 27, 2012.
The Second Annual Three Rivers Cultural Arts Festival was held on April 28, 2012 at Towns Bluff Park and Heritage Center.  All Jeff Davis County School bands gave open-air spring concerts that day.  Singers from Gloria Caves' Voice Studio and the Washboard String Band from South Dodge Elementary School treated all to a great concert.  A varied display of artwork from area artists was on display in the Heritage Center.  Crafters had tents overlooking the river.  The spectrum ranged from oils, watercolors, photography and glasswork to hummingbird feeders, jewelry and face painting.  The day was enjoyed by all visitors to the park and plans are being made for the next show in 2013.
